Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is exhibiting its Honda 2030 Vision which aims to develop advanced technologies to enhance the potential of people’s lives in terms of mobility and many types of lifestyles led by the “Honda Clarity Fuel Cell” a zero-emission automobile, “UNI-CUB β,” new personal mobility device with an omni-directional driving wheel system and “Honda RoboCas,” a smart electric multi-function cart. Honda’s spirit is being further strengthened with the sporty Honda Civic Hatchback in the new Rallye Red Color, Honda BR-V Sport Package and Honda Brio Amaze Black Sport Edition which will all be on display at The Bangkok International Motor Show 2018.

At the Honda Booth this year, Honda is exhibiting many future technologies for mobility and various forms of living. For Mobility Technology, Honda is highlighting the “Honda Clarity Fuel Cell,” a zero-emission automobile that runs on hydrogen with superior performance and that is fun to drive and in keeping with the style of Honda. It’s the world’s first 5-seater sedan equipped with a fuel cell stack as the source of electric power combined with a powertrain system that creates maximum output, the same as a V6 engine, with an approximately 750 km* cruising range on one full tank of hydrogen (EPA Fuel economy rating of 68 miles per gallon of gasoline-equivalent (MPGe) or 28.3 kilometers/liter). The Honda Clarity was developed under a “3-in-1” platform that resulted in three variants for alternative fuel options, the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, the Clarity Electric, and the Clarity fuel cell.
To respond to the company’s vision to improve people’s way of life, Honda has also developed a variety of “Technologies for Living” to deliver joy and more convenience and comfort in everyday life. We are exhibiting some examples here today; the “UNI-CUB β,” a new personal mobility device featuring the Honda Omni Traction Drive System, a proprietary balance control technology that originated from Honda’s research into “ASIMO” humanoid robots which perfectly answer all user’s basic functions especially the use in office buildings and shopping malls.
And the “Honda RoboCas,” which was inspired by a Japanese Honda product engineer who lived in Thailand for a period of time and was impressed with the street vendor carts which we are all familiar with. He then developed a smart electric push cart that can be adapted for many different uses and which truly reflects the Power of Dreams, which pushes us to continue developing technologies to respond to various forms of living.
In addition, Honda also introduced the innovative “Honda Connect” technology that improves confidence and security when driving by allowing drivers and their cars to communicate with each other via smartphone applications.
Honda is strengthening its sporty spirit by presenting the premium sporty “Honda Civic Hatchback” in the new Rallye Red color with a 1.5 liter VTEC TURBO engine that generates maximum output of 173 horsepower, sophisticated design details, especially the iconic eye-catching hatchback and foldable back seats, to fulfill all types of functions from various lifestyles at a price of 1,169,000 baht.
The “Honda BR-V” offers a stronger look of an active sport crossover with the Modulo’s Sport Package accessories such as a back spoiler, daytime running lights, front and back bumper guard and side steps at a special price of 29,900 baht. The new V+ variant is also being introduced at this event offering the best value and responding to customers’ needs with features for comfort and safety including electric side mirrors, a 6.1-inch touch screen audio system and rearview camera. All variants offer wide cabin space for comfort and enormous utility space. Honda BR-V is available in variants; V+ variant at a price of 755,000 baht and SV variant at a price pf 820,000 baht.
And lastly, the new “Honda Brio Amaze Black Sport Edition” is a premium eco-car with a sportier look with a new Gloss Black front grille, new Berlina Black alloy wheels and Aero Package which includes Modulo’s sporty body skirt, orange line decal and stainless steel exhaust tip. Honda Brio Amaze comes with two variants; V variant for 517,000 baht and Black Sport variant for 579,000 baht.
